Municipal Corporation Visakhapatnam with great concern has initiated School Infrastructure Improvement Programme on occasion of ensuing “Silver Jubilee” Celebrations, many schools are being developed by providing White Wash, Colour Wash, Furniture,Drinking Water Supply and Play Equipment but the challenge is so enormous, therefore M.C.V. trying to highlight the need for the involvement of partnership from the Private / Public agencies and welcoming them to be the part takers in the following focusing areas :

Students from slum communities make up more than 90 % of the school strength who struggling due to poverty and lack of Nutrition Food making them hard to be regular for the schools. They need Health Checkups and other Caring Programmes.

Home situations and local prospects from advancement and employment are poor, which requires constant counselling and encouragement.

Major unfinished infrastructural works and physical needs is a major concerned

Shortage of Class Rooms, Toilets and lack of Drinking Water and inadequate Water Supply and shortage in supply of Furniture are the common problems in almost all the schools.

Construction of Additional Class Rooms will facilitate to remove the shift system in 5 High Schools

A unutilized Laboratory Equipment’s, Library Books, and T.V. Sets will put in proper use if additional rooms will provided.

Tutorials/ Special Coaching for slow learners under achievers especially for X and VII Public Examination goers during before and after school hours and in weekends.

Shortage of subject teachers increses need for Special Vidya Volunteers.

Appropriate support from the local intellectuals and elite to support the brilliant children by providing Special Study Programme to attain District and State Ranks.
